About the event
This age-old method involves a simple running stitch and decorative geometric patterns to visibly mend and patch worn-out clothes. All skill levels are welcome, and the workshop covers the essentials of threading, patching, and initiating your mending journey.
All materials are provided, allowing you to practice by creating a Sashiko stitching patch. Alternatively, you can bring your own jeans for a hands-on experience in mending.
This is a drop in workshop, join at whatever times suit you. Lunch break at 1.30pm.
The workshop is run by Japanese textile artist Mika Sembongi.
